Protecting WA Kids Online
Story Collection Form
Sharing your story is one of the most valuable, effective, and important forms of communication – it helps to persuade decision makers, move people to action, and connect others to Children’s Alliance’s mission. Sharing your story with Children’s Alliance ensures that the organization has powerful stories to draw from and share.
We are advocating for Senate Bill 5708, which will work to mitigate and prevent the harmful effects of social media on kids’ behavioral health by prohibiting platforms from providing addictive feeds to minors and sending push notifications to them during school and sleep hours. It will also allow any user, regardless of age, to opt in to settings that allow them to avoid addictive feeds, stop seeing “likes” and other feedback, receive a feed without recommended media, and enhance their privacy on the platform.
Please complete the form below to tell us about your experience with social media as it relates to kids' behavioral health. A member of our team will follow up with you soon.
