Join us for a special event co-hosted by Children's Alliance and Métier Brewing Company.
Children's Alliance Executive Director Dr. Stephan Blanford will discuss the policy victories of the 2023 legislative session and what they mean for children and families, especially Black and brown kids and others furthest away from racial justice. He will share his insights on how communities successfully advocated for progressive policies on youth mental health, oral health care, and child care, as well as what it will take to score bigger victories in the future.
The event will be held at Métier Brewing Company's Cherry Street Taproom on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 5:00 pm.
About Dr. Stephan Blanford
Dr. Stephan Blanford has dedicated his career to serving the community's kids. In addition to leading Children's Alliance and several other youth-serving organizations, he served on the Seattle School Board from 2013-2018. Stephan was appointed by Governor Jay Inslee on two separate committees focused on equitable outcomes for the state's children. He also serves on the national board of Partnership for America's Children and as the Board Chair for Integrated Schools, a nationwide organization that mobilizes families to practice antiracist school integration.
As a long-time resident of the Central District, Stephan was eager to welcome Métier Brewing to the neighborhood and for the addition of a vital community space where he can get to know his fellow neighbors.
