Spokane Advocacy Day

This leadership training on effective public policy advocacy is open to all, with a focus on people of color and low-income communities in the Greater Spokane area.  Participants learn how laws and budgets are made, and gain skills to deliver a powerful message, influence legislators, and get others involved in advocacy. In addition, we provide opportunities to discuss racial equity. Participants will be joined by guest speakers including State Representatives from Spokane’s 3rd Legislative District, Marcus Riccelli and Tim Ormsby. Dinner will be provided.

This training is being facilitated by community leaders Norm Luther and Charles Williams, and supported by Children’s Alliance Community Engagement Manager, Emijah Smith.
