Frequently Asked Questions About Children's Action Network (CAN)
What is the Children's Action Network? The Children's Action Network is the action arm of the Children's Alliance. The network is a growing group of thousands of people who speak up for kids by contacting their elected officials.
How does it work? Whenever decisions that affect Washington's children are being made, we will send you a Children's
Action Alert. The alert will give you brief background information, the action that is needed, and who to contact. During the state legislative session, we send alerts weekly.
What will I have to do? When you receive the Children's Action Alert, all you have to do is take five minutes to contact the policy-maker and give them the message provided for you. Contacting elected officials is quick and easy. This rapid response system will create rapid results for children.
Who can join? Anyone who can take five minutes a week to speak up for kids can join the Children's Action Network. Whether it's a question of justice, opportunity, or fairness for children, the alerts give you the opportunity to have your voice heard before it's too late.
How much does it cost? Absolutely nothing! Being a member of the Children's Action Network is FREE!
How do I join? It's easy. Sign up for email alerts at: http://www.childrenshub.org/calliance/join.html
For regular mail alerts, contact Jon Gould at the Children's Alliance at (206) 324-0340 x19 or (800) 854-KIDS.
