Tatsuko leads the Children’s Alliance’s health policy work with an overall goal of increasing the health status of Washington’s children and a particular focus on erasing health disparities faced by children in low income families and children of color.
Originally from Colorado, Tatsuko began her career as a child and family advocate and then a forensic social worker in the public defender system. She moved to Seattle to pursue her MSW, and for the past four years has been working as a policy analyst and advocate focusing on health care, racial equity, gender equity, and paid leave polices.
Outside of the workplace, Tatsuko spends her time with her husband and their daughter.
