Advocacy Camp is a three-day, highly interactive training that will equip you with the leadership skills to be an effective child advocate and local leader.

Maria Manza is the Communications Assistant for the Children’s Alliance. She works with the Communications, Mobilization and Policy teams to create and implement media and messaging strategies to support the priorities of the Children’s Alliance.
Maria is a Washington native from Tacoma, WA. She earned her BA in Human Services from Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA where she worked as a job coach for adults with developmental disabilities and completed a year-long internship with the Whatcom Human Rights Task Force. After graduation, she spent the summer working as the Adventure Areas Director at YMCA’s Camp Seymour. Maria moved to Seattle in 2008 to continue her non-profit work with OneAmerica, an immigrant rights organization, where she focused on communications and the Washington New Americans Program citizenship project. Her work with the Children’s Alliance is driven by the belief that creating smart policies for children result in stronger communities for all of us.
